
Jessica Silverman
Chief Development Officer
Jessica Silverman is a nonprofit fundraising and strategy leader with more than 15 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations scale their impact. A longtime consumer and supporter of public media and news, she is deeply motivated by the opportunity to join Press Forward to help strengthen the journalism ecosystem and expand access to trusted, high-quality reporting.
Most recently, Silverman served as executive director of Tradeoffs, a nonprofit newsroom and podcast covering U.S. health policy, where she led organizational strategy, operations, and revenue development and helped grow the organization from a small startup into a nationally recognized outlet.
Prior to that, she ran her own fundraising consulting practice, helping a wide range of organizations launch and grow effective fundraising programs. She previously built the fundraising team at Code for America and began her career at Carnegie Hall, where she focused on public sector funding and partnerships.
Silverman holds a Bachelor of Music degree and resides in San Francisco.
